I have plugged the dates into my calender. I really want to attend. However there is way to much time between now and then. I will keep it in my sights and have made it my goal to attend. I will keep eye on this tread to stay abreast of developments.

Ewker, watch for a prehike or plan one of your own. Usually have a number of people hiking in to hang.

I am working on some new menu ideas that I plan to bring down with me in addition to the MAHHA meatballs. I am looking forward to this trip already.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

The glimmering of a idea is beginning to form. I have been wanting to do a bicycle tour of C&O Canal Towpath and the GAP (Great Allegheny Pasage). The GAP runs from Pittburgh PA to Cumberland Maryland from there the C&O Canal Towpath pickups all the way to Georgetown, MD. A 330 mile trip. My idea is to incorporate the Fall MAHHA hand into my trip. I will be starting my bike tour from Pittsburgh heading South. The C&O Canal Towpath goes through Brunswick, MD. Looking on mapquest it appears as if GathLand State Park is not too far from Brunswick. I have three questions for those of you who have done this hang in the past. Would the roads between Brunswick and Gathland State park be safe to ride with a touring bicycle? I do not feel real good about leaving my bike at parking area in the park. Would it be feasable or possible for me push / carry it to the hang site? Or does anyone have a suggestion as to how or where I could secure my bicycle? Thanks! in advance for any input.

It looks quite possible to me. Better get opinions from some cyclists. Vitamaltz? Once there you could get your bike up to the campsite, but it might be easier to lock it in someone's vehicle. If I'm there (which I hope to be, so I can explain Dutch's latest inventions to all) mine would be one possibility.
