If you're gonna make something from it. It's only $1/yd - not a big loss if you buy a few yards and it doesn't work out.
“Republics are created by the virtue, public spirit, and intelligence of the citizens. They fall when the wise are banished from the public councils because they dare to be honest, and the profligate are rewarded because they flatter the people, in order to betray them.” ~Judge Joseph Story

IMPOSSIBLE JUST TAKES LONGER
now, if it was silnylon, you could have bought the whole lot as an investment, sold it for 1.50$ a yard + shipping to all the loonies (*cough* DIYers *cough*) on the net- especially if it was camo.
Now, Ewker- black would make a cool colour for a hammock....

(and yes, I'm perfectly aware that I called myself a loony)
EDIT: get your height + 2 feet + 2 feet for knots. 4 - 5 yards?

If you make a hammock, make sure that you hem the ends. It doesn't matter on cotton, but on nylon it will rip and you will be sitting on the ground.
Trust me on this one.
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?
The hanger formly known as "hammock engineer".
but isn't it rip-stop nylon?
meh. Hem the edges, it's only straight line stitching
