I'd say the member who left the biggest impact though was Momo. Every time I was walking to/from the bathhouse she wanted to play. I think she ran more laps around me than the Daytona 500. Such a fun little dog.

Also, I second Maztrain's thanks to all the vendors, and members for your contributions to the raffle. I tried out my DIY, one of a kind, ultralight hammock, this morning before hitting the road. Country Roads did a great job on this project. It's plenty wide to give me a comfy lay, it fits just right with my underquilt, and I am looking forward to hanging it at the NoVa hang in just over a month's time. I have already modified it by removing the continuous loops for suspension, and replacing them with a couple of whoopie slings I had laying around. The post mod weight came in at 7.7oz. Crazy that my new hammock weighs less than half a pound. Thanks Country Roads!!!

And also, thanks to the various conversations/demonstrations/explanations, I am excited to get back to the drawing board to keep searching for my ultimate setup.

See ya in the woods sometime!!

It was hillarious watching Momo chase you around! You both were having a blast.
You are very welcome for the hammock. Hope you get lots of happy hangs in it. We all definitely have to hang together again.

I know every time I visit one of the state parks in my "Almost Heaven" home state, I am really impressed with how nice they are. I want to extend a thanks to everyone that came, and an invitation for everyone to come back home to West Virginia again soon.

I came home to find a package waiting for me. Two Tents came through on the raffle prize of the custom carved knife. I have to post a picture for you all to see how awesome this is. The knife is really nice, and my crappy phone pic does it no justice.

    Silverpalm2x,
Wish I had known. I had loop turners and a hundred feet of Amsteel with me. I could have shown you Sunday morning. Hope you can make it to the Spring MAHHA. You'll find plenty who can help you there (including me).

When and where will the spring event be held?
I'd like to get to a group hang to check out all of hammocks and equipment before I start buying.
