    aloha-i'm a hammock noob

    i just sent for my first hammoch- the claytor jungle hammock-

    from what i've read it's a great hammock- but i will without a doubt

    be making some mods to it.. glad i found this forum as i can gleen

    some knowledge from some people that have much more experience

    with hammocks than me..

    Great Choice in your first hammock too! Very well made and the most versatile I looked at.

    You will find everyone here is excited about being helpful and very interested in your success.

    Only changes I made was in the suspension system (Triangle cinch strap) from Warbonnet Outdoors and want to sew velcro to close up the pad slot better. I have not had pad slippage (As some have reported) but I suppose how "sticky" and width of the pad are determining factors.

    Then you will need a large tarp to go with those hammocks. Maybe a kayak after that, then...

    well, i got my jh today. nice!! can't wait to go hang it!! this weekend for sure-

    seeing as how i just recently got a kayak too -- i'll try both of them this weekend-hmmm.

    just pick a river and check it out...
