    I have a feeling that several tarps have been made of $1.00 fabric that was believed to be silnylon but maybe it's really a DWR ripstop.

    Yeah, if I didn't feel comfident in my ID'ing of fabrics and the person that was kind enough to give it to me I would have just ordered some from Ed.
