You should be able to, while in the hammock, bend 2 to 3 finger widths into the ridgeline without much difficulty. The bending should be like like this "Z".

It's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

Hey! Speaking of that, I totally dig that "thrum" that raindrops make on a taut suspension. Sweet lullaby.

    Carry on.

You can always go adjustable too. No worries about several tries to get it right.

Does anyone know the length of the warbonnet hammock ridgeline in relation tothe hammock fabric, im at work and cant get to mine. just curious, cause i prefer to hang my hammock at more like 15-18 degrees instead of 25-30 degrees, like a tighter, less saggy hammock.

    Yep,
adjustable structural ridgeline, and you can make it almost any length you want, and as many times as you want. I like it because you can always change the length to fit the situation. Sometimes that sweet-spot is just at a different distance.
    Just saying.

I'm still tweaking my ridgeline/suspension. It turns out that the 83% is pretty darn close once I factor in the extra length of connecting near my buckle. However, the headroom (noggin to ridgeline) is kinda low. What is normal/acceptable? Comments?

That will change depending on your hang in the woods .... tree spacing, angle of suspension to tree and so forth.
