Thanks, it's been fun making some my own gear. I want to try a down quilt or down jacket such as is on Thru-Hiker.com next. Of course, my wife says I am a total Loser for doing all this stuff. Some people just don't get it. But I'm used to it by now, 3 more weeks will be 25 years!

She'll get over it, don't sweat it. Besides, that just fuels the process, deosn't it?

Yeah there is a difference. Getting use to it can lead to divorce, getting over it means she doesn't mind anymore.

Call it what you will, in 3 weeks we'll make 25 years and still going.

In the full picture it looks like the side tie-outs from your hammock run through the hip belt on your pack and then to the ground.

Am I seeing this correctly, if so I'm interested on hearing the thought behind this.

    Thanks!
