You and snow look good together! That looks like a good bit of snow too. I really liked the view from your work and the point to where you live. A fascinating look around your fabulous town too, it’s so nice there! Thanks for the great video, BlazeAway! Show us the canyon!

Thanks Hawk-eye. It is fun playing with the gear, tweaking a little here and there.

The town reminds me a lot of the area I grew up in for the first third of my life, in New England.

Did the ice condensation sublimate (go straight from solid to gas) or did it melt and make things difficult with your insulation?
The temperature stayed between -5*C and -8*C during the day. The ice went straight from solid to gas.

And it came (the snow and the cold) on what tradition says is the coldest time of the year.
    Very nice.

One day I will show you town in daylight. And the two lights. One is spewing water the other smoke (when temperature is above freezing).

    Good trick with the Ibuprofen.
Yeah, could be the change in air pressure that did it.
And I must say that we get some cold weather at the moment. 2 years ago a british scientist said that the next 25 winters would be extremely cold. Could be he is right.

Yeah, white like snow and seeking the sun.
And canyon. You will call it flat land, but to me it is like the Grand Canyon. I intended to go here, were I did my -21*C hang.

Lovely video Blaze. Sure is a beautiful country you have there. There isn't a flake of snow on the ground here in lower Michigan, but we may get some tomorrow. I hope to get out for a hang if its cold enough. Thanks for the tour, godt gået.

Wonderful Blaze! Makes me feel like I am there. Truly loved the city tour and thanks of course for the shout-out. The celebrations of lights-just good stuff. If you want we could sorely use some of that cold for the bugs that will plague us later.
Constantly sipping warm/hot fluids from that tea lantern is an idea I'm putting in my brain and kit-all for the price of a little candle-very very smart.
No good you say! I should have mentioned that it's best on clear days But I've used the technique in snow or ice precipitating where most will fall off or get shaken off as the whole rig goes in the stuff sack or compactor bag-and yes that is the whole kit including tarp (hard precip shaken off.
The problem is of course when you go to bed and its clear and wake up in a down pour It happens, not often, but then plan B, which is separate my UQ and TQ while under the tarp and dry...then I take the tarp down at the same time as the hammock all in one bundle with the hammock inside the tarp....next night unfurl the tarp hammock combo...if its warm(ish) a lot of the moisture in the hammock will evaporate and there shouldn't be much anyway since it was balled up inside the tarp. Once though in packing I didn't keep the hammock perfectly dry when balling up in the tarp and set up anyway; my body heat dried the thin hammock nylon very quickly just like it will do with clothes or socks over night so was no big deal...your mileage may vary.
Thanks again for another oustanding walk with you in your world Blaze. I'll come back at ya in a week.

Thanks for sharing Blaze! That sculpture at the 11:00 min mark looked a bit like it was flying like your Superfly.

After watching your videos, you have me rummaging around the garage to dig out my candle lantern!

    Cheers

Callahan, me too. I'm thinking I had a very small one, sized to take the tea cup sized candles.
