I don't think it's heavy. I sometimes bring two hammock tarps. And I bring a gathered extra hammock to chill in and at nite I put my bag in it.

Well I think you guys have pretty much sealed the deal for me as far as what tarp to get. It's a little over my budget for now, but I think I can justify it.

Did this exact set up as stated. Then added tent poles from the "Tarp no sew mod." Set up in porch mode and changed when the rain started. Couldn't be more pleased with superfly and the rest. Thanks for all the great suggestions!

I had ordered a Mamajamba on the 16th and a week later kicked myself for not going all the way with the Superfly. Kenneth upgraded my order and now I'm waiting by the door for delivery. Any... day... now... <looks again> ...sigh

You shouldn't have to wait long. I just got an XCL, SF, an UQ, and the order took <2 weeks. I'll be out in the woods today, experimenting with ways of rigging the tarp. Have fun!
