Overnighter by Raven Cliff Falls

A nice short trip in the upstate of South Carolina. I brought along a friend along to teach the ways of the piney woods. He now has a trail name: Shivers. As this was only his second night in a hammock and his first real time on the trail (with borrowed gear), staying warm was not in the stars on this trip. I do not recommend anyone hiking extended periods of time in blue jeans. Having a pad that is long enough would have helped some too.

Raven Cliff Falls Trail, to Dismal Trail, to the Natureland Trust Trail, to the Gum Gap Trail, back on the Raven Cliff Falls Trail. I had a surprise awaiting me at the car, any guesses? Wish I'd have known. I'll do better next time.

Haha. Yeah. I did actually thanked the guy who left the notice. It was better than a fee.

It allowed him to get out. But he did mention the next day that he needed to upgrade his gear (this included some hiking pants).

Walmart: ~$5. I replaced the suction cup with the s-biner.
