Luckily the trail is very well maintained and though you can not really see it in the pic it is pretty easy going though there.

====> Absolutely gorgeous country, and great pics! Nicely done, Paul!!! Watching this even got me a little more "centered" while holing-up in my office at work!

Thank you for the great trip report!

Very nice Paul! I'll be watching for updates and maybe I can moto up to help provide security at the base camp (no knees for any serious hike). A whole bunch of maybe stuff between now and then but a fella can hope eh?

That was my role last fall. There is much to recommend a comfortable camp, a good book, and early autumn in the Sawtooths.

Will you be there this year OG? The Sawtooths sounds just like a place I have not seen before. I'm thinking of the Ipod Classic a couple of books and some epic naps. Maybe a ride or three...if all comes together (Good Lord willing and the creek don't rise. John Wayne).

It all hinges on the Grand Canyon hang, still in the discussion stages. Let me say, last year's hang was a trip of a lifetime for me...make it happen, Dawg.
