    Prussic and webbing

I just tested an idea to hang my ENO doublenest. It is similar to the ring or buckle ideas. I wrapped webbing around the trees, and brought it to the hammock. I took a loop of rope, looped it over the webbing, and back thru itself, and repeated that step 4-5 times. Then i had a prussic loop that could slide up and down the webbing and tighten when i yanked on it. Since the ENO's have biners right at the ends of the hammock, i simply binered into the prussic loop. When i layed in the hammock, it only got tighter, obviously. This can be done on both ends of the hammock. I am considering using another piece of rope to attach the hammock to the prussic knot, in order to eliminate the weight of the biner altogether.

The klemheist may be a better choice than a prusik since the load is always in the same direction.

yep, just from hanging. maybe that one was defective or something, but it made me weary of them.
someone is borrowing my ENO so i don't have it to look at, but if i remember right, it has a rope loop attached to the hammock end.
if so, just attach your buckle or rings to that loop using something like 3mm accessory cord from the climbing section.
i would just keep the buckle or ring as close to the ENO loop as possible.
the farther your buckle or ring is from the end of the hammock, the farther apart your trees are going to need to be.

yes, it has a nice loop right at the hammock end which makes the biner pretty unneccessary.
