    2012 Fall Texas Hangout

Want to start with a giant THANKS to Uncle MJM for all the work he pours into the hangs and for that great breakfast Saturday morning. Alan, thanks for being the cash man and sergeant-at-arms. Thanks to Gringo for the coffee!!!

It was great to see all my friends again, and really great to see all the new faces. This hang was BIG. Had to be at least 70 around the group area Saturday evening. Really hope everyone had as much fun as the wife and I.

I didn't take near enough pictures...

WOW! Now THAT is a group hang. I'll bet it was an absolute blast. I'm with you on the pictures.....I often regret not taking enough pictures on trips.

    Thanks for sharing.

It was a blast for sure! Great to see everyone from the past years as well as many new ones! Saw some cool new set ups this year, I've gotta get a WBRR! Thanks for letting me test it out Buck! The fellowship of people was incredible the entire weekend. It amazes me that such a large group of people who barely know each other can get together and share a common interest. No politics or religious views, just the love of the outdoors and hammocks. Thanks UncleMJM for everything you did to make this weekend happen. Alan, thanks for letting me borrow your cooler! Old Gringo, the patch fell off, but thanks for offering it! Can't wait for the next time everyone!

The ones you took though are amazing. I'm so glad you two were with us again, I always enjoy the brief moments we get to share together. Thank you again Shane for helping steer the food prep crew Friday night. Than made my Saturday morning so much simpler.

Thanks also for kicking off the trip report thread. It's off to a great start and I bet there is more to come.

For folks just catching up with this, there are some more post trip pics on the planning thread and I'll be posting more here and a few rambling comments as well fairly soon.

I too was a beneficiary of some large quantities of excellent coffee thanks to Oldgringo and without Alan's support, I wouldn't do this.

Those gorgeous pictures of Fairfield Lake bring back memories of 2010 when I had the privilege of attending this event. Sounds like it has doubled in size since then, and for good reason! I'm glad you're keeping up the tradition of the Swedish Candle!!
