    Hennessy zipper mod.

Why? Just curious... I love the bottom entry.

Want to be able to pull the bug net over the other side and lay down where it's nice and open.

I don't have a HH but have tried them out before and never liked the bottom entry however HYOH but they are certainly not for me (bottom entry that is). 2QZQ do most excellent work and even with a zipper mod you still have the option of leaving the bottom entry intact and then you have the best of both worlds.

p.s. edit: just saw your above post and instead of pulling the bug net over to one side you could get the mod four and simply unzip it on both sides and store it in a peak bag.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

This is exactly what I did...the HH Explorer with Mod 4 and the classic bottom entry retained. The two way zippers on both sides allow me to get on each side or open it at any point to reach for gear or throw something in while setting up camp. Nice to be able to get in/out of bottom entry when the fly is pitched low. Love this set-up.

The mod 4 makes no sense to me as I would just build another hammock with no net and save the weight. OTOH putting zippers in the head end eliminates the hassle of adjusting things outside the hammock or sorting things out inside of it. I see no reason to want a side entry when I can have a bottom entry. ;-)
    YMMV

I have the HH DJ XL and wanted the zipper on the other side to make adjustments, and to totally remove the net when there are no bugs. I love my DJ XL and wanted to make it more user friendly. I have plenty of other hammocks, but still love the mod #4 on my DJ..
