Who wants to build a Grizz Bridge?

I may be looking for someone capable of building a Grizz Bridge with bugnet. I can supply all materials, I just need someone capable of putting it all together. I dont trust my lack of skills. I can get measurements off my current netless Grizz Bridge as I had him make it a bit wider in the waist area for me. This is my last ditch effort before I pull the pin on a Ridge Runner.

I am not sure but did you try asking Donna from 2qzq if they would add a bugnet to the one you have, i know they do some kind of zipper mod work, couldn't hurt to ask..
My wife has made a few bridges and her bridge is an exact copy of a grizz bridge but she also does not have the confidance to attenpt the bug net, that is why we ended up getting her a rr last month, and she loves it so far but if she could get a net on hers she would be just as happy.if you do find someone willing to add a bug net to a diy bridge please let me know as we would be very interested as well.

I would prefer to have a seperate/additional hammock. The thought did cross my mind, though.

I added a non sewn on bug net to my Grizz Bridge an it works well. Easy to make too.

I the bridge I made I tried a differant approach. I sewed on long side and left the other 3 free letting me roll it up. On the free sides I sewed pockets on the edges. These edges hang below the top edges of my bridge. Before bed I weight the bags using things like my stove fuel, stove rocks anything. Along the " ridgeline" I put in2 loops of shock cord. Those get hooked to my tarp ridgeline to keep it off my face. Then I climb in and let the weighted ends drape over the sides. This way I only had to see one edge to the hammock and I did not have to worry about a zipper of anything.

Looks like Im building a Grizz Bridge! I just received the last of my supplies from Scott at DIY. I spread a fair bit of love around the vendors here. I ended up ordering enough materials to make 2.

After some discouraging initial results, its coming together. Used the full width of the fabric at both ends with an 8" curve and 80" long. I got the webbing sewed in last nite and I am trying Dutch's bridge clips on the webbing.

First hand didn't go as planned. The body held up fine, but the inserts in the poles failed causing complete failure of the poles which had me on the ground with a puncture wound to my left shoulder. (sounds worse than it really is) I have a theory as to why that happened so any feedback would be appreciated.

Using the clips means that any force other than an inline compression will force the poles to bend and fail. There is some play, but not much.

Im not sure exactly how much, if any, the clips were offset when I got in the hammock, but that's all I can come up with right now. I do also realize that the length of the suspension triangles will make a difference on how the clips load the poles. My foot end legs are 37" and my head end legs are 57". Spreader bars are (were) 47".
