These quilt hooks are great but they are not made to hold a gear hammock with a 20lb pack hung on a 15* angle.

I just wanted to put that out there for anyone else using there quilt hooks not as originally intended.

I replaced them with loop shackels. I was using the quilt hooks because the hook was large enough to fit on my Amsteel whoopie.

LOVE dutch products but I tried the plastic Clip on quilt hooks and the plastic Ridgeline Quilt Hooks and just didn't find them all that useful with my underquilt. I may be using a thinner shock-cord then what it was designed for but it also didn't grip my hammock hem all that well either.

I do use two dutch hooks which i widened slightly in the same effect that dutch uses the aluminum quilt hooks in the hammock suspension and i think that works great so I wasn't to disheartened and will probably find a use for the clips with different diy projects.
