And btw, your wife should have made a youtube video with some great background music. Loved the action sequence!

I have an excellent Hammock here.
Slept last night under my Hilleberg XP 20 tarp. Pics later.
Insulation: Exped Synmat 9 DLX (the biggest one) and Climashield TQ. Long Cotton pajamas. Wiggy's pillow.
Weather: Temperature 5-6 C (40-42 F). Wind 2-4 m/s. Rain at first but very nice sunny weather at he morning.
I have used the air mattress with WBBB and SB and I must say the DB 72 is the best one. Synmat 9 makes the hammock little tippy, but with DB it is not a big problem at all.
Usage is easy, like in tent. I used fairly much air without problems (could have slept on ground with it). My DB is DL but with air mattress I do not use the those layers. I just put the mattress in and sit on top of it. And when lying down on mattress it is very easy to put ones feet on hammock material, lift the butt up and move the mattress to the best possible position. I think this is where the big DB 72 DL hammock excels. Material does not stretch and there is almost flat room around the mattress.
And the weather cover is superb! I know it was not very cold or windy, but still. There definitely is a micro climate inside hammock. And those hefty DL's will keep bottom part sufficiently wind proof (at this point I at least hope so).
And when the sun shined at the morning I thought I was in heaven. Sage green outside, white inside, light blue weather cover and sunlight. What a combination!
So, at this point I do not care about the weight or packed size anymore. This thing ROCK'S!

I wonder if if I could coat the weather shield on my db to make it retain more warmth
I tested the Wiggys Antarctic and I must say hammock is just big enough. Any smaller it would be too small.
I slept very near windy beach and just made it without it being too hot. Temperature was about 6 C (43 F) and I think it tell's how good Lamilite is for taking away extra perspiration, no clammy feeling just very toasty. As some of You remember bag is rated -60 F.
Tarp is Hilleberg XP 10. And I used the Exped synmat 9 DLX as a bottom insulation.
When the winter really comes I will put those CCF-pads between layers. I will probably cut the other one half and use it as a crossed compared to the non cut one.
