Like Krshome says, they CAN wait! Come, have fun, relax, you will make a better product if your mind is on the task not wishing you were elsewhere.

    I'm just sayin!!

    NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

I hate work, messes with my life.

But, until Bill Gates or some similarly wealthy person adopts me, I too have to grind it out. This year's hang just happened to fall on my off weekend.

OK, I am, as of 10 minutes ago, fully packed and ready to head out the door.

Like I said before, I never feel 100% packed until I'm heading down the road, but all the food is packed, all the clothes are packed, the packs are, um...packed. All my backup gear is packed. Even the stuff I'm taking to help me get around in 24 inches of snow is packed, though it looks like it will remain that way for the entire trip...sigh. All the clothing being worn for the start of the hike, and therefore for the car trip, is laid out and ready.

I could literally leave right now. I might even consider that if I didn't have to work and Chickadee didn't have school through Wednesday! Not sure I can wait, though...

One thing I'm particularly proud of...I finally fit all my winter hiking gear into my ULA Circuit. For the first time, I'm leaving my 6000 cu in Mountainsmith at home, and that was packed to the gills on the last trip. Been a long time coming, but my gear is definitely shrinking....

Looks like I will finally be able to make one of these. Flying into Tri-city airport around 11 am on Friday if anyone wants to share a ride. Going to have to dig out the warm clothes. Got into the 70's yesterday while I was out fishing.
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?

Well I for one will be very glad to finally meet you, Coffee. Feel like I already know you since you are a major topic of conversation when I hike with Doctari! I know he will certainly be thrilled.

So as of now it's still a bit up in the air for me but if I am able to make it I wanted to bring my four legged friend along with me to this hang. I did not find any dog restrictions on the VA DCR website but wanted to check here to see if anyone knew of any that I may of missed. She's a friendly gal whom some of you have meet and if I am able to attend Stella Blue would love to come along too.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

Don't know about now, but when I used to have dogs and camp there the restrictions were leash and an extra $2.00 day each. Leash I could understand...the fee??? I think somebody who knew somebody in high places must have stepped in something...but wait...politicians are always stepping in something!
Gentle raindrops and mighty oceans...neither can exist without the other.
Time heals all wounds...but it usually leaves a pretty big scar.
