Dutch - I've got dutchware all over my stuff and love how it makes my life so much easier. I really want a set of clips but I'm a bit worried about the 30* angle only rule. I rarely get the 30* angle and rely heavily on my amsteel RL to do its job. Without placing any liability on you as a vendor, would you say the there is a good margin of safety in the 30* angle only rule? Am I likely to end up on my butt if I hang them at 20*? I'd accept responsibility for using them outside of your specification, but would hate to break them on the first hang. Have you tested any to destruction? It would be good to know even just as additional information.

    Thanks

If you are relying heavily on amsteel ridgeline and don't use the 30 angle for sag, then I think you should go with a climbing biner.

Ok, thanks Dutch. When I say I rely on my RL, most of the time it tends to be quite tight rather than being able to bend it through 90* with my thumb, but I do try for the least tension possible. I cant resist new dutchware so i'll probably try a set anyway and report back. Do you think they would bend open or snap if overloaded?

    Thanks again

I don't know your weight and all the other variables. I'd rather err onthe side of caution, but the amount of sag really determines the amount of tension on the whole system.

Thanks Dutch, I understand. I'll try some anyway and keep an eye on them.
