    VIDEO/PICS: Snowshoes and -22*F

We snowshoed in about 1 1/2 miles. Temps were already close to 0*F by the time we found our spot to hang

We made a big ol fire and cooked our dinners. And then jumped in our hammocks. Ah, hangin in the cold is super fun. Getting out the next morning was a little less fun

    My feet were really cold

We had a ton of fun though

Here is a video of the FUN!!!

You would have had to pry me out of that hammock in the morning! I think I would have tried to stay there until spring!
    Looked like a fun challenge!

Seriously, I really had to talk myself into getting out. Its amazing how challenging even the simple things are at those temps. "fun challenge" explains it perfectly

Great stuff, blaktee! Going on my first snowshoe day-trip this year on Sunday....can't wait. Temps here in Utah aren't as brutal, but not much over zero. Going to scout some hanging spots for a cold one sometime next month.

    Thanks for sharing.

That was fantastic despite the COLD -22* Temps. Lucky it wasn't windy, the wind chill would have made everything worse.

Glad to see you both survived and had a perfect time snowshoeing
Nothing is better than spending time in the woods with a like minded person. Thanks for the video and the photos. Looking forward to snowshoe next month in Vermont.

I'm going to borrow this video and tell my friends to watch it, every time you say cold or freezing we are going to drink!

Awesome. Very jealous. Looked like a great time. Probably a great learning experience as well.
You said you had a hard time getting the alcohol started. Did you keep it in a pocket inside your jacket to keep it warm or was it just outside in your pack. If it was in your pack next time try it closer to your body. You should have no problems gettin it started at that point.

By the way what temp was it again?. Lol.
