DN Question- replacing stock rope w/ WS

I have an ENO SN that I removed the carabiners and just attached my whoopies to the stock rope. I just got a DN, the first thing I did, before removing the tags even, was remove the carabiners. I see that some are removing the stock rope and using whoopies. So how are you attaching the whoopies? Can I make a whoopie with a locked brummel with a little larger loop in the end, then feed it through the channel, then put the end of the whoopie into the loop, I guess making a larkshead. Would that work without any harm to the hammock fabric?

I asked this question in the ENO mod thread, since there was no response, thought most have already read that thread and just over looked it, I started a new thread. Thanks for the help.

Yes, no worries about the material.

I actually make a loop of amsteel, and larkshead it through the end channel. I then attach my whoopie sling to the amsteel loop with a Dutch biner. I can also larkshead a couple of desecnder rings on the loops and use them as cinch buckles.

I took out the stock rope, ran the whoopies through the channel, and attached it with a larkshead.

I followed the directions in the link. Thanks futbolfreak08. Something I just can't figure out in the video is, why did he tie a knot in the rope and then add a s-biner and hook the whoopie to the s-biner? I just tied the overhand knot around the whoopie and pulled it through. I did like the idea of doubling it up (going through the channel twice). Don't know if it was needed.

I just got a set of whoopies to replace my ENO DN stock rope. My concern is that the material may not hold up to a single wrap and I am not sure the fixed eye end is long enough to do a double loop. I am a 250 lbs noob, so I dont know if a single loop will suffice or not

I and many others have used single loops with no problems at all. No worries.

Ok, I ran a single loop through the channel and hooked to my toggles...(another experiment) they held great. no creaks or pops...it hangs better than it did with the poly web and ring buckles and packs much better. Thanks for the advice

Good thread. I put whoopies on my ENO Double today. I was shocked when I got in it. NO sag. I was used to dropping 2'. I ordered more today for my other one!

Just put whoopies on my ENO Single. I did a double loop larks head. SO much better than Slapstraps.
