Positive that you would not want to use the BPL bear line as a suspension, they call it air core, but that is just their made up name for it. It is really Lash-it or Zing-it, depends on the color which name they use and I can never keep the name stair, so I just call it utility line. It is way stronger than needed but makes great tarp lines, or bear bag line or what ever.

O and yah BPL is hosing everyone on the price. I like it and am trying to get some done for me in custom colors but we will see how that plays out.

Yeah, that looks like the stuff Paul. I remember it was way cheaper bought elsewhere than what I paid BPL for 50'.
I don't use it for hammock suspension, but justjeff may have?. I am using it as a ridgeline on the hammock though.

Ya know, that does look a little smaller than what I was referring to. If what is shown in the pictures is indeed the same size s mason line, it is smaller.
Here is the cord that I got from BPL back around 2001.

Yah they make it in 2 sizes, 1.75 MM (that is what I carrie) it is rated to 400 pounds, and in 2.?? mm (I think it is 2.2mm but BPL says 2.5mm ) and is rated at 650 pounds. I plan to carry the larger size at some point also but for now the 1.75mm is all I have in stock.

BPL claims "a breaking strength in excess of 1,400 pounds" for that one.

AHHH missed that, then my guess is that it is 7/64th's AS that they are using, which should be about 2.5mm So yes that would make a good ridge line, and have the extra strength over the Lashit/Zingit line
