A wise purchase. You're gonna feel like a fire wizard.

Currently it's a tie between my folding saw (silky saw big boy 2000) and my camp chair... but my camp chair is 4 lbs so I recently got a mountainsmith sling back chair that weighs 5 ounces... usually lightweight is expensive but this is $20. We will see how it works later this week. I'm sure it's not as comfortable as my bigger chair but I wanted something with back support

I'm a sucker for multitools, so I'm going to vote for a leatherman

I personally wield a Surge for everyday work stuff. I don't use it as a primary tool, but moreso just something handy to have when you're at the top of a ladder and realize you need to tighten/loosen/cut something

the saw on it is shockingly decent on wood, and I've very carefully baton'd wood with it when I was desperate or wanted to impress a buddy

You all beat me to it... I was going to suggest the pocket bellows as well!

...and someone suggested Darn Tough socks too.

In that case, maybe a solar phone/device charger. There's plenty out there on Amazon and they come in handy while backpacking.

First, this thread needs to get locked ASAP. It's like one-click gone wild.

I should just post my Amazon wishlist but I'll narrow it down to one for the moment.

    An Olight S1
    http://a.co/cbqdZhQ

Super compact, lightweight flashlight or headlamp (with the accessory headband).
Available in 500 or 900 lumens, standard or rechargeable CR123 battery type. Even USB rechargeable option available.

So much lighter than an Armtek or Zebralight but more than bright enough for everything you need.

I'm a hot sleeper with cold feet. Heat Holder socks when I am in my hammock are a joy. Buy the longer $20 ones vs. the $17 ones, you will be glad you did.

Sounds like my brother with his Selk Bag. I think it's become a new form of skin on him.
