"Bathroom" breaks late at night....your solution?

Hope this is not too gross but.......Been camping all my life....always hate to go tromping out into the woods just to pee in the middle of the night. Found this to be even worse when I am all snug in my hammock. Did a quick search and did not see it too much so figured I'd ask.....am I the only one that uses a bottle or similar for this purpose?

Few years back started using a dedicated Nalgene "urinal" that I hang from my ridgeline. Never have to leave my hammock for breaks again!

Oh and for the ladies, I know there exists some type of, well you know a funnel type thing. Sorry just trying to keep it somewhat family friendly here.

Most of my winter camping friends have been using the dedicated Nalgene for years. The common thread is to use a yellow one and then there's never a concern about using the wrong bottle at (what could turn into being) an inappropriate time. Some even put it to use as a hot water bottle until it eventually cools down!

    BTW, Dutch offers an alternative...

In the summer I get up and go pee, in the winter I have a 20 ounce Gatorade bottle.

What if, in the winter, you need to "go" twice?

I just always get up and go no matter the weather. Sometimes see something really wonderful at night.....shooting stars, total blackness, howlin' moon. Feels good to get back in the hammock. Tough to shake in the hammock.
    You'll find your way.

I as well. It can be amazing to look out over the lake at the stars at 3am. Stare up and take in the world and all of the night sky while the snores from the gang back in the trees mix with the other night sounds.

    Out to go.

Some of my best sights at night were while using the shrubbery loo.

And that feeling of sliding back into the hammy, priceless.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

If I do, I stick the bottle as far as I can reach out from under my tarp and then pour it out. Then refill.

I am a fan of the dedicated P-cup.

mine is one pint and will normally handle two pees. I was surprised that each one only amounted to less than one cup volume.

It does take a bit of care in the hammock
