I did contact Luke directly. They were great about discussing shipping. As it turned out - there is an international postal package that is $5 for anything under 10 or 13oz (mountainfitter uses the same idea) and we went along those lines. For the heavier spools I would simply contact them.

I've never heard of any specials for HF members. Anyone else? Now and then there are group buys where someone takes it upon themselves to order on behalf of people and get a deal on a bulk order. It's a giant pain for the organizer and it can result in longish wait times on the material. If you want some quick, just order it up at Redden.

    No paypal:(

I would like to order from them but they don't take pay pal, rather do it this way than credit card online. Still looking for someone that accepts this payment style. Want the 180 ft. size and not 25 and 50 ft at a time.

I wish more online retailers would take paypal. I always choose to pay that way if they give me the option.

I'm trying to get zing-it shipped to Canada for a reasonable amount of money as well. I contacted Luke at treestuff.com to see if this $5 shipping still existed because the shipping estimate on the website was $23. Kinda crazy because the 180' spool of zing-it was only $23.

    Here's his response:

We can ship it via USPS as well. You are look at $11 if we ship it this way.
So not as good as $5 but definitely better than $23. Since I can't find 180' of zing-it locally for less than $40, this is going to be my cheapest option.

I would definitely love a forum where Canadians could discuss the cheapest ways to get this DIY stuff. It tends to be sprinkled all over the place. And some of the cheaper places for Americans (i.e. Redden Marine) have incredibly expensive shipping rates to Canada.

I hear ya. I am assuming that the 11$ was to AB not a general canadian shipping rate?
