Exclamation ViDEO: Sleeping Bag as Top Quilt in Hammock and Pads

I have gotten some inquiries about using a sleeping bag in the hammock as opposed to using a dedicated Top-quilt...the hammockers choice.
Sure....sleeping bags work well but it is a task and fight to try and zip a bag up whilst in the hammock.
**See the sleeping bag used in "quilt" mode.
**A tip to make it easier to zip up the bag in the hammock
**Pads....work well if you don't have or want an Under-Quilt.

Thanks for the video. Always nice to welcome people with less money into the game.

    I'll check out Chautauqua's site.

Great video Shug! Still using the Montbell bag with a 3/4 zip myself, exactly the way you describe. Like the idea of the topquilt, but just can't quite pull the trigger when this sleeping bag works so well. Maybe a topquilt will come eventually, but me thinks I need some cuben goodness hanging above me first!

    Cheers!

    Thumbs up

Nice Vid. I am an "unzipper" myself w/40F down sleeping bag. Works well so far down to about 30F.

I almost cried when you cried...actually thought it was pretty good acting.

Another Great video! I've been doing the two pad trick and unzipped bag for close to 20 years as a ground sleeper and almost that long in the air. ;-)
