Thorwren, perhaps you could send me a note I can give my boss, telling him that I should be out field testing for several weeks. Its a good line, as good as my Dad's, "Maybe its time we go camping..."

Hope you have some fun too!!!!!

Secret gear, indeed! He spent all last week entertaining me with the theme, "4 ounces!?! That's crazy!! Here, let's cut this part off." peppered with a few "Who would design it like that? You can save 2 ounces if you did it this way." I offered to shave his head bald if he thought it would save him another ounce. He seriously considered it.

Slugs along the way for sure, that's hardcore! Ramen is for amateurs, lol. He'll re-supply food at the next stop, Hiawassee, I believe.

No fun for this better half! I will be manning all stations for awhile, but fear not- My turn comes this summer, when I dump everything from his pack into mine, and let him try his hand going solo with the shop, the house, and 4 kids.

Great to hear he finally got some time out, hope you get some as well soon Thorwren, you both need and deserve it!

Hmmmmmmm secret prototype gear! I'm not telling either, haha!

Just think Thorwren, by the time he comes home, your pack might be even lighter as you know how he thinks, little cut here, little there, yadda yadda, and before you know it, the feeling of weightlessness!
