Pulling hammock out of way under tarp

As I was fooling around and seam sealing my new tarp I came up with a quick way to pull my hammock out of my way if needed. Using the added guy lines I just pull the stake, wrap it around the hammock, pull it back out and lightly stake it.

It works! Tons of room to hang out and cook and such in the rain.

    Cool idea.

I use the side tie out cords to tie the hammock body up to the ridge line. It pulls the hammock up and out of the way if you need that extra room under the tarp.

that is a good idea. but personally, if i'm cooking or anything else under my tarp, i'm likely to be sittin in that hammock
but i can see how that could be helpful... especially if one had company... but come to think of it, if i have company under my tarp, i'm usually still sittin in the hammock
I too will something make and joy in it's making

    True, true Slowhike,
You made me realize that I have yet to really pull it out of the way. Maybe only in a serious storm and truly needed to "spread" out.

but it's good to know how to do that if the need arises.
