Thank you everyone for the warm welcome!
I will definitely be checking NEHHA out and I'll join up as soon as I have a full setup!
As far as the people recommending winter camping, I expect if things go will I will outfit myself for next year. Just the large upfront investment is keeping me back this year.
Another thing I'm excited about is using this setup for motorcycle camping. Hammocks and bikes just seem to go together perfectly!
See you around,
Moko
I picked up a F800 GS and I'm really looking forward to marrying dual-sport biking with hammocks this spring!
Waalkes-
Man I'm jealous. I have a Buell xb12scg, and she doesn't have much room for luggage. My fiancé said she wanted to learn to ride and I suggested buying her an F650 GS, but she saw right through me and didn't fall for it. So now I gotta try and use the "it will be more comfortable" card.
My good buddy lives and grew up in Ashburndam, we ride out that way when we do riding trips to VT. He's got a silly CBR. Did a bike/camping trip on the Kangamangas last fall.
Well, greetings comrade!

Well I finished my setup and got to put it all up on Saturday. Trying to post with my phone so I hope the picture is attached.

I was cozy in my clothes at about 35 deg but it was just a trial run so I didn't spend the night in it. I'll be taking it with me to Merk Forest in VT this weekend and see if I stay warm overnight or have to spend the night in the cabin. I'll be adding my thermarest xlite for some more warmth.
Nice picture! Looks like you got it all figured out
Smart of you to test new equipment/methods close to home.
