There's lotsa good places on the AT up here in tri cities as well and only a little over an hour from you. I know quite a few good hang sites

How about Tanyard Gap (due east of hot springs on 25) to Rich mtn? Its about 3.3 miles to top. A little steep but great views

National forest so it should be fine to anywhere unless pisgah has some special rules which I can't find

Hot Springs area sounds good, are we firm on the dates?
There are two official hangs in Hotsprings ever year...no need to reinvent the wheel.
When are those? I did a search and didn't come up with anything.
