    Start 'em young!

Thanks to a forum member I was able to strike a deal to get my daughter out of the tent and into a hammock! Thanks, tagalong!

We'll wait for warmer weather to try it out, but she's super excited.

I dunno, daddy might be even more excited than she is! She's got a huge interest in camping, nature and animals. I'm mighty proud of her.

Nothing better than some hang time with the kids. My youngest (8) is really into the hammock & camping but not so much into the hiking

Awesome Dad! Enjoy it while you can! You've only got till she's 14 or 15.

I am enjoying the heck out of it while I can! I'm not looking forward to the teen years when I will be relegated to the status of "old man who's cramping my style". Heheh

As the father of an 18-year old daughter (Army, once she graduates HS -she 'ate' Basic ALIVE last summer -didn't want to come home) I say until she's 12. The 'trigger point' happens quicker these days. After that, well...

But they always remain your 'kids', years later. Enjoy the time, Dad.

With a smile like that, I think she's just as excited as papa!

Awesome. My 10 year old son wants to start camping. Next month will be our first hang. He's expressed an interest in hiking the Colorado Trail. So the summer of his 13th b-day we are going to take a month and hike it. I'm going to use that as a rite of passage experience for him.

Camping with kids is a great bonding time.

Not true Jerry. My daughter got me into hammocking after requesting a Clark as her college graduation present. I borrowed it once and the rest is history. We hang together all the time.

My daughter wanted to go hiking for a high school graduation present. We did 12 days on the AT, using hammocks. She LOVES her hyperlight.
