Video: Split Rock to Beaver Bay on the Superior Hiking Trail

Did a quick trip up to the SHT for a couple of nights. Had a great time and met some really fun people. Stairguy from the forum also met me for the second night of my trip as he was just starting his trip. The video was only supposed to be one part, but it got too long, so I had to split it into two parts. Thanks for watching

    Split Rock to Beaver Bay

Just watched Part 1. Thanks for sharing. Need Part 2.

What is hanging on your left pack strap? Looks like a watch or compass.

Tell us about your gear / food selection.

    Wish I was there...

Thanks for watching! The thing hanging from my strap is a Coghlans digital compass and thermometer. I really only use it for a clock and temps. Never have used the compass. Here is a link: http://www.amazon.com/Coghlans-0490-.../dp/B001QC34I6 I originally saw it in one of Shug's vids.

Part two will have a bit more on the food I brought, but I always forget to talk about gear because once I roll into camp for the night, all I want to do is lay in my hammock I need to remember that for my next trip coming up in a couple weeks.

Great videos hikingdad! We're stoked for the 27th. Pretty much all packed already. Just a few minor equipment adjustments to make, and have to pick up my wife's JacksRbetter Nest and then we're all ready.

nice video's of your trip hikingdad. The more I see of the SHT the more I want to hike it. Another trail to add to my bucket list.
