Lash-it guy lines for tarp

I just bought some lash-it for using to hang my tarp. I'm planning on using separate lines on each end. How long should I cut my pieces of lash-it for use with Dutch Stingerz?

BTW - I'm using 7' long straps and whoopie slings for my hammock suspension.

Made mine 16ft long each.

Mine are 12' and i usually have plenty left over.

I also tie off the ends of my tarp to the trees and made mine lines 12 feet. Always been plenty long enough.

Mine are 10ft. And still have plenty left I personally would not go any shorter there was one time I maxed them out

Why are you wanting to do separate lines? I only ask because that's how I started but a CRL is so much easier to re-position the tarp. I don't think I could ever go back to the two-line method.

The two line method done with prussiks is just as easy to adjust as the CRL.

I find using two lines the same as when I used a CRL. Either way you have to go to either side to slide the prusiks so I figured I didn't need the line going over the tarp. Works for me anyways.

I can say I never thought of using prussiks. My lines were attached to the tarp and I'd go around the tree to a figure 9. I can see how using prussiks would make it little different than what I was doing with the CRL.

That's the beauty of hammocks. 1000 ways to skin a dead cat.
