Thanks everybody! Cold hands--the fingers hurt--probably nothing like they'd hurt in Minnesota.
Catavarie, yeah that water source--we could have planned better, we've got in this bad habit of going until we just dont want to move and then call it home for the night.
A lot of us really are lucky to have such just minutes away, shame not to explore it.
Hawk-Eye--I was on Round Bald last week looking away at your Big Ditch, glad you got out this for the New Year.
Thanks Emcee--see you in March, as a reminder early March is still WINTER up here
Will see you too LesRust, keep working on that time off!
Running Feather--I think your backyard is the Pisgah? Another fine place to explore.
Your welcome B2R--do you guys do New Years over there?

Yep, fire works and all. But is was raining with quite a strong wind so not much fun out there....

I prefer Thai new years in April (Songkran)...in Thailand of course.... but you can't win'em all.

Hey MM; Great to see you out in your backyard. I think that road was for zombie access. So nice to see Rhodo's in that part of the country. We don't have them here but i planted some in my front yard many years ago. Didn't see Poof till she waved her hands,,,very stealth. Thankyou for the shout out and a very happy new year to you and Poof. What a great way to spend it and hope the coming year brings lots more,,maybe a little dryer.

Happy New Year to you too. Thanks for the shout out.

I laughed quite a bit at the Darryl brothers.

I love my Dr. Zooz Ti grill, but I notice, and your video shows this too, that if the grill is left over open flames without anything on it, it "blues" and almost seems to go limp. Is there an issue with this or is this to be expected?

    "Water Music", and running streams...nice.

    Now I have to pee.

Another fine video MM. You and Poof will be charter members of the CNF 600. And backpacking in 38 degrees and rain is nasty but a great way to start the New Year.
