    Guide Gear 12x12 tarp - $20

The 12'x12' monster tarp from Guide Gear is $20 again (white only). It's big enough to get two hammocks side-by-side under a single tarp for the honeymoon suite or makes a great Baker Hut for a tall guy.

IF you find the right two trees (BIG ONES!), it's over 16.5' on the diagonal so you can hang two hammocks feet-to-feet both from the same two trees. Overlap the feet slightly and point the heads both towards the trees. As long as you both sleep on the diagonal, it works great and you end up with ridiculous amounts of covered area on each side.

Note that none of the edge tie-outs are in the middle of a side. They're on the corners and then every 4' around the edges so if you want to hang it as a straight A shape, you need to add a pair of tie-outs or get the tarp tie doohickeys from JRB. I remember being surprised by that when I got mine (for $25 ).

Dirt cheap and much lighter than something from Home Depot.

I ordered it when the site said out of stock and would ship on or about May 5th. One day later got an email saying it was on its way so if you see it's out of stock, order anyway and it may come sooner.
I was a little put off by the fact that it doesn't have the center tie outs but a small stone fixed that problem.
And yes, there's plenty of room for even the kitchen sink. Even had some success with "closing the doors" also.

I received one and haven't set it up yet.
Much lighter than I expected. Doesn't have the eurathane feel on either side.
    Looks to be well made

    Well....I hope so anyways.....

can you set it up "rectangularly"? picture shows a dozen tie outs but doesn't seem to have any centered on the sides, i could just be hard of sight though...

    GP:
the tarp will need to have the tie-outs sewn on if you want to hang it on the square. All of the tie outs are off center and it is made to hang on the diagnol. Not hard to do but it will have to be done.

    What is the actual weight?

According to my scale it's 1 lb 12 oz with the bag, but I'm pretty sure that there aren't any lines in the bag with it right now. If my scale is right, that makes it essentially the same weight as the 12'x10' hex from Hennessy.
