Very cool trip! I have a trail like that somewhat near my house as well, although I do think I would probably have to drive or bike to it. But you've got me thinking that I better try it. Quick question, where did you get that little thermometer that records the high and low temp? I've been looking for one of those.

Heal up quick. I vividly remember 2 summers ago waiting for a separated shoulder to heal so I could carry a pack/lay in a hammock again.

It is great to have a close site. Especially winter camping.

It is. I can't believe I waited so long to hang there!

I got the heads up about those thermometers here on the board. I ordered mine from Amazon. Here's the link.

Neat trip! I have a trail directly across from my house into 2200 acres, mostly wooded. Alas, no camping allowed. And if I stealthed, there is an interstate on the far side that seems to get louder as the night gets quieter. At least that's the way it seems when I'm hanging in the backyard.

    Thanks for sharing your trip.

Nice video. Yeah, I live right next to my father-in-laws back 40, and there's some great trails up there. I've gone on a couple of overnighters and it's pretty sweet to ditch the car and walk to your camp!
    Thanks for sharing!

That looked like a nice quick trip. I've been playing with an idea like this for a little while. Thank you for rekindling my consideration.
