I have a flat cast iron griddle we use when we are canoe camping and I got it out Thursday and cooked breakfast for my dad and mom over at our pond. The air was unseasonably cool but was just right for cooking over an open hardwood fire. Bacon, eggs, pancakes, hash browns, tea and coffee! LOL sounds like a lot and it was but we were rebuilding on of the docks in the pond and needed a real breakfast. Figured I would bring the griddle as well with me in Oct

Well I think that goes without saying, this is Louisiana I don't see any point in camping like this without having some good food to go along with it. If you don't like Bacon, ribeye steak, baconed wrapped stuffed japalenos, Dutch oven apple crisp and a couple more things it will be best to hang upwind of our site LOL!

Any fishing to be had nearby? Fly or baitcast?

Hope the south La bunch are safe and dry and y'all be safe.
