No cell phone service as you are surrounded by big hills. You would have to hike to the top of one of them and even on the Sycamore Trail..cell phone reception is spotty in parts of the trail.

Almost forgot this was this weekend ! I will try to make it down I have to get someone to work for me Saturday at the Rusted Moon. If this happens I should be down there at camp before dark, hope I don't get lost !
Only been on the forum for 1 day and new to hammocks as well, i would like to pop in on the hang to get some pointers and hear some first-hand appearance before i spend cash on the wrong thing. WHEN AND WHERE DO I GO?
-thanks, PotatoBacon
PotatoBacon,,go there Saturday if you can,,and you will get to checkout about 35-40 different setups of hammocks and gear..great place to learn and lay in different hammocks. I personally am going to take a couple of different UQ's for the Warbonnet Road Runner Hammock as I just got in a new Te-Wa UQ rated to 40 degrees with a extra oz of down that will be testing out as its supposed to get in the 30's at nite. I want to see how low I can take this awesome new quilt as its only 10.7 oz in weight and fits the RR like a glove. Stop in and we will show you all we can.

Skyline, Finally heard from ya. Cool. I was at Rusted Moon yesterday and they said you got a Xenith. Very cool. I knew you had a great trip planned somewhere. I am carrying an Osprey now too. It will be good to see you. Hey. I slipped and told them at Rusted Moon that we called you Skyline and they all seemed to trip on the information and laughed!

A hanger asked me about how my cuben fiber tarp did with the RR so I am posting this photo for him here.

Thanks Mule.
Looks like lots of room on the sides with just the standard pullouts. That's awesome. At least I know I don't have go swapping out my tarp.
Happy hanging.
[Edit]
Whoops, missed the pole mods - no wonder it looked so spacious in there. Did you do that your self?
Life is short and then it's forever..
Jer,,,post your GPS Coordinates for those than it would help to find the location. This is just a reminder.
