    Black Mamba: standard or wide/long?

Just curious, wanted to see if anyone uses a BM and is at the size limit for standard, which is 5'10". I'm about a half inch taller than that, and not sure if the standard would fit or if I need to bump up to the long/wide version. I'm 175lbs, so I think width would be just fine but wanted to solicit any feedback from mamba owners who are around 5'10".

I can't speak directly to the Black Mamba, but being 6'0", I have found even though I am at the edge of the recommended height of most regular size items, I prefer the longer length as it seems the extra length is a much better fit. This is especially true for sleeping bags in my case (much like a BM top quilt idea).

    final decision... going with standard

Thank you guys for your responses. Seems like the votes go either way. I emailed Brandon and here's his feedback:

i think it will come to at least your chin, the XL might be better if you sleep fetal alot as the extra width through the hips would be useful in that case, if you sleep mostly straight legged then the regular would probably be fine

we do have a 60-day return policy as well if you need to swap it
So, since I'm just a half inch over 5'10", I think I'll try the standard and see if that works. I tend to sleep straight-backed and not fetal so I think I'll be fine.

BTW @Shug, that's an awesome pic! I think you've invented the TQ face-box!

Got my TQ/UQ last week from Brandon. I'm really happy with the standard length Black Mamba TQ as is. I'm just a bit over 5'10" and in my WB I had enough length to pull it up over my face so plenty of room to just cover my shoulders. So I think Brandon's spec for the regular being good up to 5'10" is good with margin.
