Brendan Byrne Forest, Brendan Byrne Campsites
    Campsites divided into 4 sections

    Yurts

Campsites 1-12 near showers/bathroom, primitive, have picnic tables and fire rings

Sites 1-7 all hangable, some on the edge.
They are all along old Glassworks road but it is very lightly travelled by locals.

Sites 8-11 are inside of the loop w/ larger trees that are further apart, probably not going to work for hanging or at best, you will be off in the grass (ticks) to find suitable trees.
    Not recommended

Site 12 is by itself and hangable.

The Yurts are on mostly an open field but there are numerous trees that would support hanging.

    Sites 33-82 are ALL hangable.

The low 30's and low 80's sites are all near the Sawmill Bldg and playground.
60's and 70's are on the U of the loop and offer a little more seclusion.

These sites have picnic tables as well as fire rings.
They are also used by RV campers.
Currently 2 sites are in use.

    Site 33-82
    All hangable

Buffered by some trees, a little more removed from the paved road than sites 1-12.
Separate Bathroom building, used to have a General Store in the old Sawmill Bldg, don't know if they still do that.

Two entrances, near the one with the Sawmill Bldg there is a small playground. This group of campsites also accomodates RV's and is often loaded up on weekends. Best sites are probably the "inside" or furthest from the paved road.

Sample of the "no undergrowth" Pine Forest a short hike from this campsite.
This is somewhat atypical as most of the forest is mixed oak and pitch pine with thick undergrowth.

NJ Pine Barrens - Which New Sites Are Suitable for Hanging

Any intel on mullica river CG? I hiked through there yesterday on the way back from lower forge (#4), back to batso, and was relived to find a water well! That jersey tea water is metallic tasting!! I did see hammocks at mullica site #7, but didn't have the energy to explore any further...

SilvrSurfr and I were going to take survey of Mullica and get some pictures when we last came through there - but it was seriously hot and we were itching to get going, so we dkind of skipped it.
