    Nest update

With less than 400 miles to go, I just got a text message asking for instructions on how to build an ark.

At least he didn't get shot at this year.

It's all a matter of prespective!

I trust your reply was "Gen. 6:14-16"

....but be very careful.....the actual length of a cubit can be lost in the translation. Makes it more difficult and time consuming when one is trying to build an ark over a thousand feet long.

The type of wood is also in question. The translation of the Hebrew word used is uncertain.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

Actually when only _one_ is trying to build it it is not so bad. The cubit was a personal measure so as long as the same person was used each time it would work ok. But get a mismatched cubit multiplied by several thousand and you have a recipe for disaster. In as much as Noah worked by himself (or maybe getting the kids to help) he had a standard measure. (as long as the kids kept their cubit to themselves.)

    ...as is my understanding.

....and exactly where would one retrieve pitch on that section of the AT to make it watertight. And would it be ok to store it in a BPA compliant vessel?

Just got a text from Nest. Night hiking and sent photo from 4.802'. His first mountain above the tree line.

    Things are looking up, then!

Only 400 to go! Glad to hear things are going well except for a need for an ark!

But maybe Nest only needs an ark for one?
