I love solo trips, although I don't really do it alot. One thing I have learned from sleeping alone in the woods is that at night, I realized that I am invisible. I am hidden from everything. The same way that all the things we create in our heads would be hidden. I get a sense of being the hunter instead of the hunted. Sounds funny, but I do.

I feel more secure in the woods than anywhere else. Even at night.

I am back safe and I enjoyed my experience. I will load pictures and a trip report when I get the chance.

Glad to hear it. It's not just a solo hike it's your own hike no one else's.

Glad you're back. Hope you had a great experience. Prayers are sent anyway. We can all use a little help. Man, I love hiking alone. It's such a humbling experience. Sleeping in the woods alone builds insight into one's own character and improves your backcountry skills. And the truth is, we're never really alone.

Looks like a great trip was had, glad you got some time to yourself to work through things that you needed to. Sometimes only the solace of the woods can make you slow down and remove the distractions that make things so difficult to work through at home.
