    Switching to cinch buckles?

Hi I am a newbie to the forums and I have been reading a ton of information, not quite on overload yet. haha. Anyways I want to replace to stock cord with something... any suggestions? Also how would I go about putting the new cord in? And finally where is a good place to find cinch buckles? Thanks for any help.

The process of switching over probably depends on what hammock you are modding.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

The only place that sells the popular cinch buckles is here.

From your previous post, is it safe to assume you are trying to use them with an ENO? If so, it's really easy to just rotate the stock cording in the end channel and untie it. Then, it's just a matter of replacing it with whatever you choose. Spyderline is what I've used in the past.

Here's a pic of a cinch buckle on an ENO -

Great move in switching to the cinch buckles. They rule.

Yes I thought that they would be a much better option for me. I have used the slapstraps for about 6 months now, and I just can't handle the stretch anymore and I would like to have much more options in adjusting the hammock. By the way... I have learned so much already from reading the posts on here. Thank you everyone for this wonderful information

I wonder if those cinch buckles work okay with that one inch poly webbing Ed Speer sells?

There is another type of cinch buckle, which is even more secure than these, that is used in newer climbing harnesses. I am currently trying to find a supplier for these buckles, and if I can find someone who sells them I will let you all know.

Sure, the buckles seem to work fine with any 1" webbing.

Does anyone have any extra cinch buckles they want to get rid of? Shipping is a killer for just 4 buckles. Or, does anyone want to go in on a larger order?
