Input Needed: Diff b/t HH Exp Deluxe and BB XLC

I have a HH Exp Deluxe with 2QZQ zipper mod#4 - nothing wrong with this hammock, but I've got my eye on a BB XLC. Been doing lots of reading, but interested in any specific differences between these two hammocks that I can expect.

Does anyone have experience with both that can share different features, experiences with each? I don't need to buy the BB XLC if I'm not going to get any appreciably differences from my current setup. I assume my UQs would be compatible with both.

    Thanks for any insight...

The big difference I see is the HH is a 9' (108x56) and the XLC is an 11'
    How tall are you?
I also understand you can get the XLC with a winter zip on cover which would be nice for winter.

Yep, I think you'd be a lot more comfortable in an 11' hammock.

The Explorer Delux is only a 9' hammock per their website (108"x 56") I can't believe they say good for 7' 300# person.
I've not tried one but found 10' hammocks to be too short for me. I am 5'9" 200# and prefer a 11'x60" hammock. YMMV

The HH Explorer is for people up to 7'. It is close to 11' long with a 108" ridgeline.

Never hurts to have 2 hammocks

If that is the case I don't think the OP would gain anything.

@OP, Sorry if I mislead you on the HH hammock length was just going by the website specs.

HH does not give the hammock length in the specs. The length stated is the ridgeline measurement not the fabric body so it is a little confusing.

Donna here...we have a HH hammock specification sheet, copied several years ago from their website, hanging beside the computer. The Explorer Deluxe ridgeline is 110". The fabric length is 132". I don't think they have changed anything, so these measurements should be current.
