Cub Scouts Camp out: Indian Hills, Jamul, CA

Spent the weekend with the cub scouts: 12 Tents, 2 hammocks. Since park rules were unknown, 2 PHS's were brought.

Hammocks: DIY Gathered end, 1 bug-sock, 1 zippered bugnet, KAQ lost river and a Poncho Liner UQ. Tarp: DIY Speer 8x10. Suspension: mule tape and poly straps. TQ: Sclittlefield's ripstop with fleece and insul-brite...

(Note: the UQ and Dutch Clips were the only NON-DIY Components!

Had a great time, watched a number of older groundlings wake up all hunched over.

Rained just enough Friday night and Saturday AM to keep the dust down. Nighly lows in the high 50's, low 60's. Some crazy pack member brought a portable propane oven and made fantastic cobbler!

When it was time to go home, I was packed in an hour, even with the PHS's!

Love the stand, and your sew-up PLUQ inspired me to do a non-sew convertible version for my son! I can't bear the thought of cutting up my woobie!

I thought that is what you did. I could just see that thru the bug netting. Great looking set up.
