    Source for Amsteel Blue

    Okay
First off I would like to thank SloBrofor his thread on how to make the Whoopie Sling.
I have mastered the operation and am using them on my hammocks. It is an awesome suspension and light-weight and easy to use.

I am NOT using the amsteel blue but another cordage I purchased from the local boat place. (for the Atlanta folks West Marine on 41 near the Cumberland mall)

the cordage is a bit thicker than I like but only cost me $0.16 per foot. The amsteel is going for around $0.34 - $0.45 per foot. Is there a source where I can get it cheaper than that.

The cordage I am using is rated for 1200lb so I know it is strong enough, but I want something a bit thinner and not as stiff as this stuff.

    Thanks

Redden Marine has it for $.21 per foot for the 7/64. Add "hammockforum" to the discount box and you get 5% off.

EDIT.. West Marine will price match. Id still buy it from Redden, however.

One has to be quick around here. I was going to post the exact same thing.

I made an Amsteel purchase from ReddenMarine just last night. I entered "hammockforum" but did not recieve the discount. I believe it read "Coupon EXPIRED" or something similar.

It could have expired. I seem to remember there was an expiration date on the discount.

I tried it today and the discount still works. Make sure you use a capital "H" in the code: Hammockforum. It may be case sensitive and if you put in "hammockforum" it may not work.

    Greetings

Arrowhead Equipment sells 7/64th Amsteel in 25 foot increments for $5.25. I know he takes Paypal. This would be your best bet short of moving the money from your Paypal account to your own bank account.

    Cheers
