You must taper! Any sudden change of direction for dyneema fibers causes excessive stress, and that is where it will break. Taper smooths out the stress and makes it constantly strong. In fact using a tapered 3.5 fid (long) bury eye splice with a thimble will give you a piece of cord that is as strong as it is rated. (1 fid length is 21x diameter of rope).
