Talking Quick father/son overnight in Oregon (pics!)

This was my son's second overnight hammocking/backpacking trip! AND it didn't rain! We found an incredible spot in a bend in a small creek. He kept asking if we could stay an extra day

Though "ya'll" would enjoy the pics! We ended up hanging parallel with my Superfly over the both of us.

40 or so other pics here

DUDE that was awesome thank you for sharing. My little guy is almost two, and I am very much looking forward to doing this kinda stuff with him.

    if you dont mind...
i was wondering about what might i realistically expect a kid to carry weight wise, and how far one may hike. Care to share?

There's a pretty good thread started here about backpacking with kids.

Great pics - especially like the panoramas. If he was asking for another day that means he be looking forward to the next outing.

Thanks for sharing the trip. Reminded me of some great times in the woods I had w/my "little boy" who just turned 30. We still have fun though. Those pics will increase in value w/time for sure.

What an amazingly beautiful place to share with your son. The rule of thumb is that whatever sons get interested in before they get seriously interested in girls will stick with them for life.
