    Crowsnest 3 season or Summer?

I don't camp during the winter. I get in the 40s at times and 30s is rare. I'm kind of a warm sleeper too.

I'm 6'3" so the extra length/width sounds good, I just don't want to get baked out of the hammock during the summer and carry the weight/volume for no good reason.

Is the 3 season flexible enough to handle 70 deg? I understand you can slide it up, I just don't want that position to be the norm.

Anybody have experience with the 3 season during the warmer months?

I now this is all relative, just trying to get peoples thoughts before I order.

I slept comfortably with my Crow's Nest in the 55-64 degree range without sliding it out of position.

    decisions decisions...

I send the OP a pm but thought maybe I should post it here.

"I think a summer Crowsnest might just be the ticket for you. Do you think you are a warm sleeper or a cold sleeper or just about right (temp ratings on bags are usually about right for you)? If you are a normal to warm sleeper I think the Summer Crowsnest might just work for you...especially if you think you will not see 30deg very often. You could bring some supplemental insulation if you think the temps might be getting close to the limits. Another option is that I could put an extra 1.5oz or so of down in the summer quilt for you as a little extra insurance. Since none of my quilts are sewn though, it might help you get down to close to freezing without noticing too many cold spots.

Anyway, just some things to chew on.

man stormcrow. i've been drooling over your 3 season crowsnest for quite some time now - the ccf pad has gotten old. i keep waiting to see a used one come up on the for sale forums, but everyone must love them. i hope to have enough scratch saved up for one soon.
