    Best Christmas gift 2010

    1) Ok everybody, don't be jealous, I got the entire Foxfire book collection for Christmas. All 12 volumes. 3600 pages of wonderful reading. If it had not been for these books. Some of this information could be lost forever.
    2) set of Whoopie strings, & Mule tape from Squidbilly
    3) 50 Alabama hikes book
    4) Set of Nite-Ize figure 9's

I thought those books were discontinued! They were in my high school library and I remember checking them out several times and just glancing through them. I'd really like to get a copy of them. Now I'm on the hunt.

The Foxfire Museum is very near to the AT in Georgia. It is in Mountain City, between Clayton and Dillard . . . maybe 10 miles south of Franklin, NC.

The mule tape is the best thing on your list, whoopie slings, figure 9's, and the such are okay but mule tape is at the same level as duck tape (or my new favorite brand gorilla tape) and zip ties. I'm sure with enough of those three items there's nothing in this world that couldn't be fixed or rigged to make it home. I got my father a steripen opti since last time we went hanging in the woods his filter didn't work well enough and he was sick as could be.

I got some cash for me to purchase my very first hammock! WOOOO ME! And this new sleek profile on hammockforums.net to educate myself before I purchase.
